The many farmers' markets spread throughout Texas aren't just about locally grown, farm-fresh produce, delicious baked goods and good-to-the-last bite prepared foods — though you'll find more than enough of those things. In Austin, the Farmer's Market on Guadalupe St. is a festive, weekly street fair, with live entertainment, family-friendly activities and a vibrant crowd of locals. Take some time this spring and summer to enjoy these great farmers.
We offer a variety of local produce, plants, herbs and cut flowers as well as breakfast and lunch vendors, live entertainment and an assortment of juried arts and crafts from local artisans. Attracting locals and tourists alike, the Downtown Farmers Market is the community connection, bringing together people from all parts of the Austin and beyond.
Find competing vendors with extensive arrays of fresh produce, culinary herbs, handmade pastas, locally prepped foods, roasted chilis and anything else that could possibly be in season. Pick up fresh flowers and the ingredients for your dinner party, then sit at one of the café tables to enjoy the live music.Limited expensive parking. Meats and eggs looked good but were on the expensive side. Lacks a bit in diversity of products on offer. Overall, a great farmers market.
They have activities for kids, food trucks, and places to grab coffee and drinks. Also, the produce I saw looked to be a very good quality from all the booths. Overall, I don't think I could rely on them for my total meat/produce every week, but it will definitely be a great local supplement!
If you haven't visited it yet, you don't know what you're missing!
