For my family and I, the Omelettry has always been the go to favorite breakfast spot of mine for years. I believe that this is a perfect spot for a great review. Just sitting here writing this makes me crave their chocolate chip buttermilk pancakes. :)
This is a traditional breakfast place with a menu full of pancakes, waffles, eggs and crepes. I ordered the coconut pancakes with a side of bacon. It came out in 5 minutes. The staff is friendly and always accommodating, even when there's a wait. The food is hot and fresh and MAN is it yummy! Speaking of wait, I would suggest that you get there before 10 am on the weekends, as the wait list begins to grow at that point.
My favorites include:
"Popeye Omelette": fresh spinach, bacon and sauteed onions inside a cheese omelette topped with sour cream. I would suggest getting the sour cream on the side because those dudes in the kitchen don't play with ingredients; they're ample and tasty! *which means there tends to be a pretty large dollop of sour cream
"The Eggonomical": 2 eggs any style with either Pancakes (buttermilk, whole wheat or gingerbread) or two choices from: Home fries, fruit, cottage cheese or toast (whole wheat, white or rye)
The bacon was thick and delicious. Three large pieces were included in this side order. The hot pancakes were covered in coconut flakes and the "tropical syrup" provided complimented the coconut well. I'm not sure what fruit flavor the syrup was; a hint of citrus (lemon and orange?) and pineapple is my guess. I really liked it. And the pancakes were soft and fluffy...and plentiful. I can't remember how many were served...4 or 5...whatever the number I was full with only half the plate eaten. They definitely give you 1950s America portions.
They even have Gluten Free for an additional charge. Friends and family have gotten pretty much everything on the menu and we have yet to have a complaint among us. It's great for kids, families, couples, friend dates and whatever else you can come up with.
Pay attention to the art around the place. Pretty cool! Give it a try!
