OK....it's August. It's hot. It's really hot. And when it's hot, you'll find yourself either hugging your air conditioner or enjoying the summer season. And if you're outside in Austin, you'll spot food trucks.
Food trucks are a part of Austin. If you don't crave food trucks, you might as well move to a different town. And in Austin, we have the BEST food trucks. Our favorite is East Side King.
During a recent visit, I would have figured that Korean truck food would be okay, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this meal. A bit expensive for what it was, but the service was great, and the food worth every bite.
The pork buns used pork belly and a delicious sauce, to deliver a punch of flavor. A bit of Sriracha sauce and it was a home run.
The Fried brussel sprouts came with a sweet and spicy sauce, again, packed with flavor. It also had fried steamed bun as if they were french fries, but a really nice twist. The brussel sprouts themselves were perfectly fried, and the jalepenos added a kick. This one was worth it, really it was!
You'll find it at Liberty Bar:
