Houston as always boasted a number of Japanese restaurants in town, but you know what has never existed? A store that provides an wide variety of Japanese-based, hand-crafted items for the locals. Never. Well, until now.
The store itself is impressive. I've never been to Japan, but I imagine that the decor of this shop resembles the real thing.
Even comparing the store to the typical Galleria store, this really stands out. The shop sells everything from Japan, even providing elegant, repeating videos showing the handmade crafts being made before they reach the USA.
There website states - Only the finest Japanese products valued for their design and unparalleled craftsmanship will enhance our catalog. Anything from a recycled canvas cap to a fine ceramic art piece."
This is very true. There were a litany of cups, bowls, knives, chopsticks, scarves, blankets and much more. Everything made by hand. Everything authentic. Everything beautiful.
When I visited the store, I was greeted by a gentle employee, dressed in traditional garb. She was polite, reciprocal and caring.
This store is a gamechanger in Houston for the Japanese enthusiast. Pay them a visit. You'll enjoy the experience.
