Best Vegan Meal in Austin - Vegan Nom

January 22, 2020

Located on the 2300 block of E. Cesar Chavez St (near Metz Neighborhood Park) is the best vegan spot for your buck - Vegan Nom.

Wow what a great hidden gem in Austin!  This mobile food truck had people in line consistently, but I'm not surprised based on the quality of the food.  I'm not vegetarian but had you given this to  me and told me it was real meat I would have believed you.  I couldn't tell which was which but it didn't matter. I recommend this place to any individual who is interested in going vegan, or just interested in trying a vegan dish. The male hostess and server was incredibly knowledgeable about the food choices on the menu. But he was also very informative about the vegan life style choice in general. He really took the time to explain how the restaurant cooks and marinate their vegan meat options.

The tacos were filled with flavor! And authentic. The chips and guacamole were also great.

Due to the business the food did take a bit to come out. But worth the wait.  Also - they handle catering and parties as well as well as a 'night menu' and 'late night menu' coming soon.  Give them a try!
