When Austinites and Houstonians don't have a beach nearby, we have to resort to visiting the Kemah Boardwalk for some 'beach action.' There's nothing wrong with the Kemah Boardwalk. It's a great spot to visit for a weekend. For some of us, it's simply a long drive. My brother and I wanted to get away from the world last weekend and decided to check into a room at the Holiday Inn near the boardwalk. About 2 block walk from the hotel, we found the Cool Cow Creamery.
The Cool Cow Creamery specializes in handcrafted ice cream. And, without a doubt, it's super creamy and fantastically flavorful. My brother and I both had cinnamon ice cream. It was incredible. The hospitality was off the charts. We tried almost every flavor and they encouraged us to do so. Both the guys at the front were kind and extremely helpful.
It was so good that we paid the spot a second visit before leaving the next day. We sampled two additional flavors : oatmeal raisin and summer strawberry. Both were amazing!!!
The genius behind the scenes (he/she who creates these remarkable flavors) leaves you craving for more! This local, Kemah ice cream artisan will not leave you disappointed.
When you're in Kemah...pay them a visit!
